Run a pilot on your own shipments
Fourteen days, 100 shipments, no card, and a simple method to measure whether Tariffly earns its place on your desk.
The two-week method
Brokerages that get the most from the pilot run it as a small benchmark rather than a tyre-kick. Here is the plan we suggest.
Day 1: twenty entries you already lodged
Pick 20 recent shipments across your usual commodities and origins. Upload each one’s invoice and packing list. Do not tell Tariffly what you lodged.
Day 2: compare
For each line, note whether Tariffly’s 6-digit code and Australian item matched what you lodged, and whether the flagged issues were real. Export the CSV and mark it up; most teams finish in an hour.
Days 3–12: live shipments
Switch to new work. Forward supplier emails to your intake address, let operators prepare and brokers approve, and watch where the drafts save time and where they do not.
Day 13: the numbers
First-pass match rate on your 20 entries, real issues caught, minutes saved per entry, and how often product memory confirmed a repeat product. Compare with the per-shipment price for your volume.
Day 14: decide
Choose a plan, ask for an invoice, or export your data and walk away. Nothing is charged automatically.
What good looks like
- Match rate. On clear descriptions, expect most lines to match at 6 digits and the Australian item to be right whenever only one exists under the subheading. Thin descriptions should come back marked medium or low, with a sensible question, not a confident guess.
- Issues caught. Count mismatches between invoice and packing list, arithmetic errors and missing fields that your team would otherwise have found later, or not at all.
- Minutes saved. Time one entry prepared the old way and one reviewed from a Tariffly draft. The home-page calculator turns the difference into hours per month.
We would rather you measure it than take our word for it. Tell us your numbers, good or bad; they shape what we build next.
We’ll run it with you if you like
Book a 30-minute call. We set up your workspace, run three of your own shipments live, and show your team how reviewers and operators work together. You keep the drafts whatever you decide.
20 recent entries with their documents · the codes you lodged for them · one operator and one licensed reviewer · a stopwatch for two entries · 14 days.
